AIS Lunch & Learn – Nov. 16th – Raising the Bar in Corporate Sustainability

Please join us in understanding how corporations are raising the bar in sustainability in our communities.
Our guest speakers from Anheuser-Busch and Cargill will talk about how their companies are “raising the bar” when it comes to setting Corporate Environmental and Sustainability goals and strategies. Their ambitious goals and strategies will guide how they run their own operations as well as hold their supply chains accountable to being sustainable as well.
Our guest speakers are:
Rachel George, P.E. is the Environmental Manager for the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Cartersville, GA. During her 19 years with Anheuser-Busch, she has worked at the corporate level influencing policies, and the subsidiary/facility levels implementing and managing programs.
She is an expert in regulatory compliance, environmental auditing, and developing environmental management systems. Rachel has experience implementing waste minimization, water conservation, and recycling programs in a manufacturing environment. She has also coordinated environmental stewardship and community outreach efforts.
Al Greenwood is the Senior Resident Engineer at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Cartersville, GA responsible for all plant utility operations, plant capital plan execution, and information systems. In 2016, his efforts and leadership resulted in the Cartersville Brewery becoming the most water efficient AB Inbev brewery in the world at 2.61 HL/HL.
Al is a Chemical Engineer with 15 years of experience in the brewing industry. His experiences include operations and maintenance management, process design and optimization, and utility system operation. He has a track record of reducing operational cost utilizing six sigma/lean tools and leading capital project improvements in an industrial environment.
Brent Bauer is the Marketing, Food Issues & Sustainability Director for Cargill’s North America Food Ingredient & Bio-Industrial business, a role in which he provides customer marketing, food issues, and sustainability leadership.
He works directly with a number of the world’s largest food and beverage consumer product groups, and provides strategic leadership across a spectrum of food and sustainability issues facing Cargill and their largest customers.
