Manufacturing Communities Annual Summit

Join over 100 manufacturers, local government leaders and economic development professionals at the 4th Annual Manufacturing Communities Summit in Washington, DC, to share best practices and collaborate on projects that advance the manufacturing sector nationwide. Hosted this year by 24 US Manufacturing Communities from throughout the country, the summit will be held February 7 & 8 at the National Association of Counties (NACO), 2 blocks from historic Union Station. Highlights include:

  • Brookings Institution’s Mark Muro: What does digitalization of manufacturing mean and how can we ensure our manufacturers and workforce are ready for it?
  • Private and public funding: Learn from experts about finding resources for developing your manufacturing supply chain, workforce and infrastructure.
  • Strategic investments in workforce training: Discover government and private sector-led programs to train incumbent workers and develop the workforce pipeline of the future

Project Marketplace: Based on the Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) popular deal-making event, Manufacturing Communities in search of financing will present projects to a group of financiers, social impact investors and foundation representatives who will comment on each project and offer technical assistance about potential solutions.
